Regional Medical Operations Center (RMOC)

Known as 7-RMOC Austin/Central Texas, the RMOC serves as the healthcare coordination center during disasters or catastrophic incidents. The RMOC can be activated by any local jurisdiction or the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to assist hospitals, healthcare systems, public health, and emergency medical services with healthcare response and coordination. The RMOC also provides a single source for local Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) coordinate planning and response activities with area hospitals, EMS agencies, public health, mental health, and other ESF-8 partners within EMTF-7.

Ambulance Bus

Provide advanced medical transport and evacuation for large-scale disaster.

Mobile Medical Unit

Augment & support the needs of a disaster impacted community with temporary healthcare infrastructure that is configurable to the incident.

Ambulance and Air Medical Strike Teams

Provide medical transport & evacuation services during a large-scale disaster.

Nurse Strike Team

Provide surge nursing staff for an Emergency Department or specialty area.

Ambulance Staging Management Teams

Responsible for the facilities being utilized, for the accountability of all units & personnel in staging, & logistics support for the resources on site.

Infectious Disease Response Unit

Augment & support the needs of the hospital and regional emergency healthcare system with the care, transport, & or transfer of patients with a high consequence infectious disease [HCID].

Wildland Fire Support Unit

Provide dedicated medical response & force protection teams & assets for firefighters responding to moderate to large scale wildland fires.

Medical Incident Support Teams

Trained acute healthcare leadership providing Health and Medical subject-matter expertise & support to local jurisdictions, healthcare facilities & local health care infrastructure during disasters.
